South London Korfball will be returning to social distanced outdoor training in line with government guidance from Monday 7th September 2020.
There is a lot of uncertainty about when Korfball will be allowed to fully resume. The National Governing Body is currently drafting its return to play plan and is looking to submit it to the Government (https://www.englandkorfball.co.uk/covid-19-return-to-play-update/). In the meantime, we will be organising training in line with existing guidance (https://www.englandkorfball.co.uk/covid-19-updated-guidance-for-outdoor-training/).
The current plan is run a training session comprised of 3 “stations” – a fitness station; a skills station; and a shooting station. Sessions will be put on Spond for people to sign up to. We are aware that light will be an issue and we envision having to start at around 18.00. We will look to book a floodlit court when they become available.
If you are new to the sport or area and want to join us, please email southlondonkorfball@gmail.com and we’ll give you the information to join our Spond group (which allows you to book on the sessions) and our whatsapp group for general communication.
