Balham travelled to Camberwell to play Supernova 6 away and scored 11 goals to take both points.
Sam Wood, May Shakespeare, Merel Krediet and Captain John Wilson started in attack, and Liam Clarke, Charlie Corfield, Dulcie Keeley and Milly Chapple in defence. Sam opened the scoring almost directly from the off. Supernova quickly equalised with a penalty and then went 3-1 up. South London Balham didn’t look back. Distance shots from John Wilson, a runner from Dulcie and goals from Liam and May left Balham 5-3 up at half time.
In the second half, May scored a distance shot and Sam got a runner before Liam scored Balham’s 8th of the game. Supernova got back in the game, but another 3 goal streak from Balham (May, Sam and Charlie) took the game to 11-4.
