South London Korfball made the early morning trip to Dalston to play Highbury 5 with a number of new faces. Despite the injection of new talent, Balham were unable to come away with the points, losing 12-5.
Highbury raced into a 2 goal lead before new joiner, Sam Kilburn, assisted by Eleanor Rickenbach, replied to make it 2-1. Highbury went on a tear scoring the next 3 goals before Sam Kilburn and Charlie Johnson got 2 back to make it 6-3. Three more goals from Highbury made it 9-3 before Charlie and debutant Flo Marshall scored twice to reduce the deficit to 9-5. Highbury scored 3 more before the end of the game to finish 12-5.
Charlie Johnson continued his scoring run, getting another 2. Big shout out to Flo and Libby who also made their debuts.
